Strong youth representation at Ecoland opening
Last Friday the 29th of June three members of Nayland’s environment group attended the official opening of Ecoland, the Nelson City Council Environment Centre.
Students continue their success at the Top of the South Tour Speed Skating competition
Holly Ward, Zena Denton and Luke Denton participated in the Top of the South Tour Speed Skating 3-day competition which was held in Blenheim near the beginning of June.

On Thursday 14th of June Nayland choir students arrived home from Blenheim happy and proud of the results they had achieved that day.

As a part of the learning support class mathematics project on cars, Mr Peter Glue was invited to school to show students a classic car he had assembled himself.
A breath of fresh air
Local radio waves have been spiced up with a new addition over the last few weeks. Reviving an old Nayland tradition, teacher John Valentine has handed over his own regular environmentally and socially conscious Fresh FM slot, Pale Blue Dot, to a small group of committed Nayland students.
