ACADEMIC

Nayland College works with students to achieve by encouraging personal excellence and achievement in all learning. Staff set high expectations of attainment, discipline, and organisation that will allow students to develop important competencies, knowledge and understanding.

There is a strong expectation that Nayland students should work hard to make the most of the diverse opportunities offered by our College’s academic, cultural and sporting programs.

EFFECTIVE CURRICULUM

Through a well-balanced and effective curriculum, Nayland College aims to ensure students develop as positive, self-confident young people, well-prepared for the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

We want our students to be considerate, responsible contributors to society, determined to succeed in any area of interest they pursue.

Extra Cirricular

There are a large number of Group Activities in the College including: debating, drama club, dance groups, orchestra, jazz bands, vocal company, performance arts, sports, Rock quest, Stage Challenge, Kapa Haka and many others.

In many courses students undertake Education Outside the Classroom that broaden their educational experience.

ERO Reports

The Education Review Office (ERO) reviews schools and early childhood education services every three years, and publishes national reports on current education practice.

The following are comments made the ERO team during the most recent International audit:
