Students from around the Nelson/Tasman region came to Nayland College on Wednesday April 4 for the Model United Nations forum.

This annual event is organised and run by volunteers from Canterbury University Youth United Nations Committee. The theme of the conference was UN+EQUIPPED. The delegates had a taste of diplomacy by acting as different member states of the United Nations and were challenged to reflect on our global political landscape. They debated the approaches currently employed towards issues that have both immediate and long-term consequences for us all. A great day of stimulating and thought provoking dialogue was had by all.
