NCEA Learning Recognition Credits

The Government has decided that students disrupted by 16 days of COVID-19 lockdown this year will be eligible to receive Learning Recognition Credits (LRCs).

School bus contact tracing

If your child uses a bus to travel to or from school, you must complete the form below to register AND personally record the days your child is on the bus. This is necessary for contact tracing purposes.

Back to school reminders

A reminder about level 2 advice for students as they return to school at 8:50am tomorrow. Bring a water bottle!

Covid Level 2 Update

This communication comes off the back of the government announcement today that school will resume at Level 2 for the South Island from this Wednesday, with school resuming on Thursday.

Changes to NCEA for 2021

We have been informed that if we are at level 3 or 4 for a total of 20 school days this year some changes will be made to NCEA. If school resumes before the 15th of September, these changes will not be applicable at Nayland College (unless we have a further lockdown this year).

Principals Message, 20 August 2021 (Level 3 Update)

The Prime Minister has announced that we will move into Alert Level 3 at midnight on Tuesday 31 August.

Distribution of Learning Devices

With the announcement this afternoon that lockdown will continue, we have made plans to distribute laptops to families that require assistance.

2020 Nayland College graduate releases new song

Toby Sussex graduated last year and has been busy writing and releasing original songs in the midst of university study. His new song ‘Metronome’ was released today – have a listen!
