A&P Show End of Term Celebration

wordpress-postF4U8y6

Friday lunchtime saw the Nayland College A&P Show roll into town with games, kai and plenty of school spirit to celebrate the end of term one.

The Blue Gym was transformed at lunchtime and staff also were challenged to dress up in their best farm style to earn waka points. Looking around there was a hive of activity going on including:

  • Three-legged races, hobby horse races, gumboot throw and tin can toss
  • Facepainting and balloon animals
  • Sausage sizzle and Mr Whippy
  • A packed dancefloor
  • Level 3 Business Studies group ‘Only Popcorn’ with samples of their new flavours.

Our student environmental sustainability group ‘Tautīnei’ also set up a stall challenging students to throw a ball into each of their three boxes while encouraging us all to think about how we reduce our waste and protect our environment.

Thank you to all the staff and peer mentors who helped organise this fun event. The rain may have brought the activities inside but it did not dampen anyone’s spirit.
