From Wednesday 18 August, Nayland College will be closed for three days.

Kia ora koutou

As you may already know there has been a community case of Covid-19 in Auckland.

As a result, the Government announced tonight that the whole of New Zealand will move from Alert Level 1 to Alert Level 4 for the next 72 hours from midnight tonight.  That means that you need to keep your children home from school for this period.

Although this is for a short period, at this time we are activating our distance learning plan tomorrow morning. First and foremost we want to stay connected to our students, therefore teachers will be in contact with their classes and will explain work that can be completed at home over the following three days. Should students not have access to a device over this time, we would encourage them to complete any outstanding work. Assessments due over this time will be automatically extended.

COVID-19 and the Delta variant continues to ravage the world. I assure you we have a robust plan and will do everything we need to for your children and your wider family and whānau.

If the situation changes, we will be in touch again. Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
