23 Aug Business students chase profits at the Nelson Market
Four groups of Nayland College students brought their sales skills to the Nelson Market on Saturday as part of the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES). Badges, tie-dye shirts, super secret sauce and carbonated beverages were all on offer from Nayland groups.
The groups took advantage of the market foot traffic to promote their products against those of YES groups from other schools in the region. Interest from market-goers was strong, and sales were steady.
The YES market day is only one of many opportunities these students have created – Keep it Natural beverages have secured a bottling and distribution deal with a local beverage company to take their product to a wider market. Watch out!
