12 Aug Year 12 and 13 Alpine Camp: Nelson Lakes National Park

Year 12 and Year 13 Outdoor education had a fantastic alpine camp experiences in the Nelson Lakes National Park last week. Ideal conditions made for excellent ice-axe and crampon skill development. Year 12 students slept in snow igloos with fly sheet as roofs, and all students woke up to snow falling on the shelters. By day three, walking through knee deep snow and blizzard conditions made it feel like a true alpine experience! Great work Year 12’s and 13’s. Get ready for rock climbing later this term!
