26 May Two of our science students win highly sought after award!
The Science department at Nayland are pleased and proud of Mitchell Chandler and Adam Pauling for their selection for Youth ANZAAS. They were identified very early on as a students with excellent potential in Science and has been offered opportunities, extension and multi-level learning in order to make the most of their time at the college. This is just the latest in a string of student selections for such programmes and scholarships for Nayland Science students.”It’s a affirmation of what we are doing in our accelerate programme and Science in general.” said Head of Science Hamish McLellan.
The Royal Society of New Zealand has selected two students from Nayland College to attend the Australia New Zealand Advancement of Science residential programme for secondary students (Youth ANZAAS) in Melbourne for one week during July. Only six students from New Zealand have been selected and will join 40 Australian secondary school students to learn about the latest science research.
