30 Nov Nayland College appoints Anton Bentley to lead Drama and Dance programmes

Nayland College is pleased to announce the appointment of Anton Bentley to the performing arts faculty in 2016.

As a drama teacher with a wealth of professional experience, Anton is a strong addition to the teaching staff at Nayland College. As well as directing and producing shows in his current role at Macleans College he is the Artistic Director and Producer of Piece of Work Productions, which has successfully presented theatre to the local Howick community and to school audiences since 2011. Additionally he has directed and designed set and costumes for productions with Howick Little Theatre, Botany Downs Secondary College and Kensington Drama Company, London. Anton also has substantial experience on the stage and screen, with film, television and theatre roles in New Zealand, Australia and London.

Anton is looking forward to a challenge as part of the Nayland College Performing Arts Faculty. “I am extremely excited about working at Nayland College where Performing Arts are valued and students are encouraged to thrive. I am anticipating a busy but rewarding year working with the students in class and on school productions.”

Nayland College Principal Daniel Wilson welcomes Anton’s appointment. “Nayland College values creativity and excellence in all areas of learning, and Anton clearly lives these values himself as well as leading his students to do the same.”

Anton will join the newly-appointed Head of Performing Arts, Nigel Weeks, at Nayland College in January 2016.
