Instrumental music programme
Nayland College offers all Year 9 students the chance to learn a musical instrument through this specialist programme.
The Instrumental Music Programme engages and supports all students with an interest in developing musical performance skills. The programme is open entry – meaning all students that have already been learning an instrument or would like to learn an instrument can join.
Although the focus is on learning a woodwind or brass instrument, there will be limited places available for other instruments as well.
Students involved in the Year 9 Instrumental Music Programme will be expected to participate in a school band ensemble as appropriate and be committed to practising their instrument on a regular basis.
If you are interested in signing up for music lessons through our itinerant music programme, please see Jules Ferguson Brill in the Performing Arts Office or click here to find our online application forms.
