17 Aug Celebrating Maths Week with a Pi Competition
Maths Week is a premier mathematics event in the New Zealand school calendar, and Nayland College students have enjoyed an interactive week of mathematics challenges, one of which was the highly acclaimed annual ‘Pi competition’.
The Pi Competition is a crowd favourite event at Nayland College. which encourages student engagement with mathematics.
Everything around us behaves in mathematically determined ways, so by default maths is very applicable to the real world and events like Maths Week help to demonstrate this and show that Maths can be fun!
