13 Apr Black Fern’s visit a ripper

The Year 9 sports education class were lucky enough to have the Tasman Makos’ Women’s Rugby Development Officer George Vance taking them for rugby skills and drills for the last couple of weeks.

Black Ferns NZ women’s rugby half-back and Crusaders’ Women’s Rugby Development Officer Kendra Cocksedge also paid a special guest visit on Monday 10 April. She came to help out and teach some kicking skills.

Students has lots of fun, especially playing ripper with her at the end of the lesson. Thanks so much to Tasman Rugby for sending George and Kendra along to teach us some skills. We look forward to watching the Nayland College women’s side over the rugby season.

See Ms Cotton if you are interested in playing.
